Udit has learnt from Delhi,Ajrada and Purab styles of playing from Pandit Ramakant Mhapsekar of Mumbai and Ustad Faiyaz Khan.   He has also learnt from Pandit Suresh Talwalkar in Maharastra and Shri Shiv Shankar Ray (lineage of Pandit Gyan Prakash Ghosh  Farukhabad baj) from a London institution of culture, at which he enrolled at the age of 6.   Udit has continued his focused on learning more of this extraordinary instrument, newly composed and old classical tabla compositions, some of which date back to almost 300 years ago.
